Eamon and Miren O'Rileys

Woot - two of my favourite O'Rileys - because nothing boosts up the 'neat' factor of a family more than a pirate and a sailor priest!


Eamon O'Riley

Height: 3,15 m (10'3 ft)
Age: 34
Occupation: Fisherman and a preacher
Specialty: Pamphlet designing

Eamon is the third son and the last one who was born on the Islands. He is kind hearted and wise for his age, always offering good advice, never dismissing a person in need. He never married and lives alone, which doesn't bother him as it gives him time for contemplation.

He sails under his father Murray together with Declan and Urard. On one of his voyages he found god and since then started living his life bringing the word of god to everybody and trying to better their ways (to the dismay of some of his siblings). He wrote down the 'Word of Sun', and even has a small flock of followers. Although most of the time he is a great guy to be around with, he tends to have a bit fanatic outbursts.


Have you got more of those pamphlets about that god of yours? Why I want them...I want to change my ways of course! What? Burn them in the fireplace? Where did you get that idea?

Miren 'Red Seagull' O'Riley

Height: 3,05 m (10 ft)
Age: 33
Occupation: Pirate captain
Specialty: Defying the law

Miren is the third daughter and 6th child of Murray and Blaheen, born during their voyage from the Islands to Arwa Turis. She's ambitious, honest and loyal to the people she deemed fit, with a dry roughness in her actions. Loves a good laugh, but she can also be ruthless to those who threaten her or people dear to her.

She always loved sailing, but her father Murray never let her sail with him. Tradition states that a deck of a ship is no place for a woman, and Murray always followed traditions closely.

Soon after she became old enough she left home and went out to the sea to pursue her dreams. Few years later she acquired her own pirate ship and crew and became known as the Red Seagull.
Miren is the only member of the family not welcomed in her parents' house as Murray sees her as a disgrace to the family name.

With the exception of Iisjah, other family members, especially Declan and Urard, treat her with a bit of reserve, but she manages to see past it.

Miren yeah I love her, she's my favourite sister.....but I want a ship too! All my childhood dreams are shattered! Ruined! Sunk into the dark ocean abyss!
