Prison days

Iisjah reaching his 16th birthday in the Arwaturian City Prison. At the age of 15 he was convicted there after he and some other teenagers he was (moderately) close with at that moment got into a fight with a guy at some pub. They killed him and all of the teenagers except for Iisjah run away before the cops got there but Iisjah froze up. He got caught and convicted for murder.

Before the trial he was approached by one of Guernicas men with an offer. He will be convicted with a fake name so his families name wouldn't get bad attachments to it (as Iisjahs twin brother Cormac was already working in a layers agency already and his younger brother Manny was learning to become a guard) and he will be able to get out faster. In exchange he was to get close to and spy on one of the crime lords that was spending his time in the same prison. Iisjah agreed of course (he actually manages to keep the fact that he was convicted from his family)

He spent about 1,5 years there before Guernicas men busted him out.
Those years were lived in constant stress that he will get caught among other things (him being so young didn't help a bit). He would rather not remember some things he did there.

The only upside was meeting Bruno who took liking to him and thought him a bit of dagger handling when he got a chance.

I wanted to draw Iisjah in prison (a more polished work at least) for quite some time and finally got around to it. Went with a more illustrative style and limited palette to strengthen the mood.

Done in prismacolour markers and steadler fineliners - really wanted to have the traditional feel for the lined and colours here.
