REDONE: Of Lies and Legacies Chapter 10 The thin shirt did little to insulate him from the cold, or keep the dampness at bay. He couldn't stop shivering. Beneath his bare feet, the stone floor was slick with condensation. He rubbed his arms and legs, blew on his hands. His breath clouded up in a puff of steam and evaporated dreamily into the air. How he wished he could do the same instead of being in this terrible place.

He wasn't alone, of that he was certain. In the shadows, his keen eyes could make out the huddled forms of the other children. The crying had ceased a long time ago. A terrible thought occurred to him. What if they couldn't cry anymore? What if he was the only one
